3. DESCRIPTION: MDAT-GoG has received a report that a MT has been boarded in position 01 35N 005 07E. This incident is in the vicinity of hijacking reported in WARNING 002/FEB/2021. The incident is ongoing.
4. POSITION: Last known position at 2147 UTC on 09 FEB 21: 00°38’53”N, 005°53’53”E (289°/54nm off Ana Chaves – Sao Tome and Principe) heading 199° at speed 1 knot.
Vessels transiting the area are advised to exercise extreme caution

It is the ARX recommendation that all owners and operators install correct and enhanced primary hardening measures. These include the ARX ABaC System and the ARX Evictor. The ARX Anti-Piracy Barrier will stop a boarding taking place.
